Designed for any individual who has a duty to respond to emergencies, this 8 hour course combines lectures and video with hands-on skill training. Key content areas: Recognizing and responding to breathing and cardiac emergencies in adults, children and infants: Two rescuer CPR: Use of body substance isolation precautions to prevent disease transmission: Use of resuscitation and bag-valve masks: Use of an AED for a victim of sudden cardiac arrest.

Our most popular safety course, it is great for community needs. The complete course combines CPR and first aid training to teach participants how to: Recognize and care for breathing and cardiac emergencies in infants, children and adults: Perform first aid for cuts, scrapes, bruises, burns, bleeding, sprains, and strains: Treat sudden illnesses, including poisoning: Minimize the effects of shock: Recognize emergencies and take action: Understand the role of AED’s in the Cardiac Chain of Survival.

This course is for individuals whose certification has or is expiring. Students will display their skills necessary to receive certification. Students must demonstrate all skills with no prompting from the instructor. Upon successful completion students will receive the component certificate needed. Challenges are scheduled for Thursday and Friday of each week. Call to set up a time.
***CPR/AED for the PR Challenges must have a pocket mask at the time of the challenge and are purchased separately.
